Villa Vicina is a small modern villa with a magnificent view over the rolling hills of the Val d’Itria. The villa was recently built and is suitable for families or groups of friends up to four people. The villa has a contemporary look and is fully equipped. Drive from Ostuni towards Ceglie Messapica and halfway along the SP22 turn right into the campagna, or countryside. Villa Vicina is located on the Contrada Sessana Grande with many special houses and beautiful holiday villas. But there are also many locals living there, which makes the area very diverse. Villa Vicina is located against an agricultural nature reserve, so don’t be alarmed if you hear a herd of goats in the distance. But above all, olives are picked in the autumn. The villa always has olive oil from its own garden; golden yellow and delicious in taste. Pure and slightly peppery, as only Pugliese olive oil tastes. Behind the villa is a lovely large covered gazebo with a large outdoor kitchen and spacious lounge sofas. The place to enjoy an Aperol Spritz while looking out over the pool and the back of the house. At the bar you can not only have a drink but also have a delicious lunch and dinner. On the veranda it is lovely to sit while enjoying the panoramic view of the olive and lemon trees. La dolce far niente.

Villa Vicina
The Villa: Villa Vicina is an atmospheric Pugliese villa with a taupe cast floor and lots of light. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. If someone unexpectedly drops by, there is always a round sofa in the living room. Both bedrooms have their own TV to watch an Italian film or series. There are two kitchens: a small comfortable kitchen inside and a large outdoor kitchen. The outdoor kitchen has its own refrigerator and even a dishwasher. A hallway connects the terrace with the pool and the gazebo behind the house. The pool is south facing, so there is sun all day long. Behind the gazebo is the outdoor shower. A white stone staircase takes you to the roof terrace for the most beautiful view of the olive trees of the Val d’Itria. The lovely large garden is full of cacti, olive trees and lemon trees. The gate opens and closes automatically and there is a covered shady parking for 2 cars. In the evening the villa is attractively lit.
Description: Villa Vicina is located in the countryside and can be reached via the SP22, the road from Ostuni to Ceglie Messapica and is 5 minutes from the city of Ostuni itself. The villa can also be reached via the SP14, the road from Ostuni to Martina Franca. The sea is about a 15-minute drive away. The villa can accommodate 4 people, has 2 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, covered veranda, gazebo with large outdoor kitchen and bar, spacious lounge area, 4500 m2 garden, shaded parking for 2 cars, automatic gate, panoramic roof terrace and a lovely swimming pool. Villa Vicina is ‘privata ma non isolata’ as the Italians say: so with sufficient privacy but not isolated. In the villa there is a list of all the things to do and the best tips for the tastiest restaurants, the most beautiful beach bars, the best shops and the nicest outings. And of course all the information for a wonderful stay in Ostuni and the Valle d’Itria.
Availability & Prices
Rentals are per week and run from check-in Saturday 4 pm to check-out Saturday 11 am. The costs for final and interim cleaning, towels, bed linen, laundry and water use are 250 euros per week, to be paid directly to the lady at the check-in, Martina. All basic necessities are present in the house, please replenish what you have used. Buon divertimento!

Location
WHERE: Villa Vicina is located in the Valle d’Itria in the countryside between Ostuni and Ceglie Messapica. The Villa can be reached via the SP22, the road from Ostuni to Ceglie Messapica, and via the SP14, the road from Ostuni to Martina Franca. The Valle d’Itria is the rolling valley that connects the towns of Locorotondo, Martina Franca, Cisternino and Ostuni. The distance to Ostuni is 8 minutes and the port of Villa Nova on the Adriatic Sea is a short 15-minute drive away. Torre Canne and the sandy beaches can be reached in about 20 minutes.
FLIGHTS: The largest airport near Ostuni is Bari Airport. From Bari Airport it is about 1 hour and 15 minutes drive to Villa Certosa. Brindisi Airport is smaller but even closer. From Brindisi Airport it is about 40 minutes to Villa Vicina. Ostuni can also be reached by train. The station is a bit further from the centre towards the coast. By car it is about 5 minutes drive from the centre of Ostuni.
